oil. put it on really thick, which was fun and very different from any of my previous paintings.

Tuesday (12/6/11)

in-class while others were off doing their critiques. It's a lot harder to concentrate on drawing when the prof is gone. heh. I should probably work on that...

In vaguely chronological order. had my crit today. whee! realized there were some drawings I didn't have pictures of. I took them and will put them up tomorrow. Tonight I am too tired.

11/29/2011. the proportions are a little bit off, but I'm really starting to (finally) get a hang of the medium. I'm feeling pretty confident. It didn't hurt that Zhi (a professor notorious for being incredibly stingy with praise) walked past while Phillip (my professor) and I were looking at my drawing out in the hallway, stopped, looked, and said, "That's a nice drawing." Heh. Phillip's jaw practically hit the floor. Later he said to me, "Zhi doesn't do that."
